The Doc is in! For Kids Entertainment got the EXCLUSIVE scoop on Doc McStuffins’ winter themed episodes airing on Disney Channel (10:00-10:30 a.m., ET/PT) this Friday, December 7, straight from soon-to-be 14 year old Kiara Muhammad, who is the voice of the lovable stuffed animal doctor! From her favorite character to hints on what’s ahead, get the exclusive scoop here:
Are you having fun playing Doc McStuffins?
Yes, it’s a blast. I really like doing fun things with the voice.
Which animal is your favorite?
I really like them all, I don’t think there’s one thing that stands out that makes me like one better because they all have funny, weird things about them that are hilarious and make me laugh.
Sneak Peek of Chilly Gets Chilly

You get a really fun character [in "Through the Reading Glasses"] — Doc gets a new toy and her name is Professor Hootsburgh and she needs a check up because she can’t see very well. So, we are trying figure out what happened to her. And in “Chilly Gets Chilly”, Chilly doesn’t wear a jacket and he gets cold. He thinks he’s a real snowman when he’s a stuffed snowman, so he doesn’t wear a jacket.
Speaking of “Chilly Gets Chilly”, have you ever caught a cold from not wearing a jacket?
I have. I went to Boston to see my family during Christmas vacation a couple of years ago and I played in the snow and I got a cold the day after.
What is one of your favorite episodes so far?
The one where Lambie gets a rip in her…um… butt [laughs]. It’s really cute because she’s sad and it’s very cute and fun between me and her.
Do fans recognize your voice when you are out in public?
No. Only my friends know my voice because some of them watch it in the morning — like my one friend who watches it every day with her 9 year old little sister.
Did you ever picture yourself as a cartoon character?
I think it’s cool because I get to have my own series but I don’t have to put the make-up and wardrobe on, so a lot of times I just go in with my Uggs and sweatpants [laughs].
How long does it take to record an episode?
Well, I do it on Mondays and Tuesdays. I do one song and episode on Mondays and one song and one episode on Tuesdays. If it’s an episode — like where I get sick and have a cold — and I don’t have any lines, I can do both episodes in one day.
I saw online that your family calls you FuFu — do they still call you that?
Yes, some of my uncles, cousins and aunts still call me FuFu [laughs]. It’s a name my dad randomly picked one day — ‘Hey, FuFu…’ and I guess I responded because he continued to call me that and everyone does now [laughs].
I heard you have a birthday next week – Happy Birthday!

Are there any gifts you are hoping for or any gifts in general for the holiday season?
For Black Friday, I got some Beats by Dr. Dre — I think that’s the only thing I wanted [laughs]. Other than that, I think I just want to go shopping for some clothes and shoes.
Are you working on any other projects other than Doc McStuffins?
I just did an episode of NCIS last week and I’m going back to do a couple more episodes soon in the next couple of weeks.
Anything else exciting to share about Doc McStuffins?
Keep watching it – it’s a really fun show. It teaches you things and yet you have fun. And the songs — it’s just a really fun, cool show to watch.

Oh my gosh… all of a sudden, my 4 yr old daughter LOVES Doc McStuffins… she’s always been the culprit of playing “doctor” with her friends and now, at least, I feel like she has a healthy show to encourage her curiousity! Now I have been wracking my brain trying to find Doc McStuffins stuff for Christmas… it’s hard to find!!! Target & Toys R Us are sold out online and don’t have anything in store! Tough!!! Hoping Santa can bring something!
